Willow Spring: A Fantastic Wake County Unincorporated Community
Located in southeastern Wake County, Willow Spring is an unincorporated community that had a small population of just 212 residents as of 2007.
Given its size, this community is clearly tight-knit and definitely takes a lot of pride in its shared history.
For instance, the Frank and Mary Smith House and Turner and Amelia Smith House (both of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places) are located here.
Because this community is home to only one natural spring, it is called Willow Spring as opposed to Willow Springs.
The Schools Your Children Will Attend
This community is served by some high-achieving public schools within the Wake County Public School system.
This includes Willow Spring Elementary School, which is one of the few public schools in the state to receive a 10 out of 10 rating by Great Schools.
Students travel to nearby Fuquay-Varina for middle and high school.
